I'm never more comfortable then when I'm on the volleyball court.  The love of the game runs in my family.  My first experience of volleyball was through my older sister, KJ, who is now playing at Lehigh University.  During her club years at Central Jersey Volleyball Academy (CJVA), I tagged along to all her tournaments, fell in love and never looked back.

I've been playing on CJVA's national teams since I was 12.  When I was 12 playing up on a 13's team, I had my first nationals experience, as our 13's were awarded the American bid to USAV Nationals in Atlanta.  My 14's year, our black team won the American bid to the USAV National Championships in Columbus, and last year my 15 national team finished second in the region, and won the American bid to USAV Nationals in Minneapolis.  These experiences have made me hungry for competition at a higher level, and our 16's black team this year is geared to have another successful season.

So far this season, we have finished in the gold bracket at MLK and in the gold bracket at Capitol Hill Classic.  Most recently, my team played in an all 18's tournament in our region's Power League, and we finished undefeated against all 18 open teams.

I love the moments in a game when the pressure picks up and you can feel it in the air.  I believe those are the moments that we play for and the moments that make me a better player.  My coach once told me that the past or future means nothing when you're on the court.  The moment you step on the court you are untouchable, and that makes me feel powerful.
