Hi! My name is Kaila Spevak. I have played volleyball since the third grade and have fallen in love with this sport. I currently have a 3.81/4.0 with a weighted GPA of 4.33 I take my academics very seriously in addition to volleyball.
I am on my school's varsity volleyball team as an outside hitter playing all six rotations but am focusing my future level of play in the back row as a libero.
I am excited to play college level volleyball like my cousin who played football at the University of Wisconsin and my other cousin who played football and baseball at Northwestern University.
I played for Nevada Blaze Volleyball Club for 4 years and this fall will be my fourth year at Silver State Volleyball . I attended the 2017 GJNC 18s in Dallas in April as libero and also 2016 GJNC National Div. in Indiana with our 17 Mizuno team as a libero/ds. I have also been invited to five USAV High Performance camps and attended the AVCA Phenom program in Omaha Dec. 2015.
One of my best assets as a player is my ability to read plays and anticipate where the ball is going to go. I can see the play develop before others. I am student of the game and believe I can learn more at every practice. Not only do I bring energy and spirit to the court but I provide leadership and focus to my teammates. I truly want to continue my volleyball career in college and am looking for the right school, coach and team to make that happen.
