Hmm, I have been sitting here for a while trying to think about how I am going to try to impress you. I keep typing, reading and deleting what I have written. It seems like everything I write is not good enough. Long story short, I’m just a girl who loves volleyball. I was born in South Bend, Indiana and when I was three we moved to Las Vegas for my father’s career; he’s a police officer. I have played sports for most of my life. Besides volleyball, I have been involved in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, gymnastics, beach volleyball and soccer. I enjoyed all the sports I participated in and believe that collectively they have helped me become the athlete I am today. Martial Arts taught me self discipline and instilled in me a “Never Quit” attitude. Gymnastics taught me grace, focus and composure. Soccer taught me teamwork. But volleyball, VOLLEYBALL is where I excel. I am at home on the court and it is one place in this world where I feel completely comfortable and thrive. My freshman and sophomore year I attended High Performance Camps. My sophomore year, not only did I start but I was MVP. My junior year I was chosen to lead as the team captain. As the team captain, I aspire to serve both my team and coach. I set the example both on the court and off the court. It is my dream to one day play volleyball in college.
To be completely honest, his whole college volleyball journey is kind of scary and this past year it seems like life has caught up with me quick. People are asking me, “What do you want to be?” and “Where do I want to go to college?” I do have some uncertainty when I answer those questions but the one answer I do know is that I want to play volleyball. When it comes to declaring a major, right now I want to be an additiction specialist. a.
I absolutely hate to brag about myself but I am told if I do not say it in my statement that nobody else will. I truly believe that God has blessed me with my volleyball abilities and that He has great plans for me. Please do contact my coaches, fellow players or even competitors. They will tell you that I am a great athlete, a leader and that I possess a “Can Do” attitude. I am highly motivated, coachable and can perform!
I would like to thank you for your time and consideration.
Hmm, I wonder if I am going to delete this one too?
