I hope to learn and experience as much as I can in college so that I am better prepared for what awaits me in reality. This does not just include academics, but the skills of leadership, teamwork, dedication, and work ethic. I feel that one of the best ways to expand upon these assets is to delve into something in which I possess a passion, athletics (namely volleyball). Because I realize that sports are not just a pass-time, but a learning experience in and of its own, I feel I can benefit many coaches and universities. I am a quick learner and am willing to absorb critiques that a coach may give in order to improve my game, then offer my team a more well-rounded, skilled player. Of course my academics take precedence over my athletics or free time, so coaches would not have to worry about my eligibility; I do everything in my power to maintain a respectable grade point average, which means I am willing to study longer and invest the time needed to learn the material. I think this sets me apart from other recruits because I have had practice balancing many important factors which may lead to better success in college, then life. Me, I'm a character. I speak fluent sarcasm and enjoy dry humor, but I also can identify when that humor is appropriate, and when I need to shut up and listen. I like to help others wherever I can in every facet of life, and I will share almost anything with my teammates and friends (experience, knowledge, but not French fries, those are off limits).
