My college career goals are to study Forensics and Criminal Justice. At Southwestern Iowa Community College (SWCC) I will graduate with an Associates in Arts degree in Criminal Justice. My goal is to work in a career field that is both challenging and helpful to society. I would love to take my Volleyball career as far as possible. I would like to continue playing volleyball after SWCC at a College/University and earn my Bachelors degree. My long term goal would be to continue playing volleyball after College/University as well. I am looking for a College/University where I can succeed in my career goals, one that has a strong academic structure. An institution that has a strong, competitive volleyball program where I can grow, learn and help the team be successful.
Here is a little about myself; I started playing volleyball on Grand Forks AFB, ND my seventh grade year. I quickly fell in love with the sport and took every opportunity available to me in Grand Forks, ND to strengthen my skills. In 2014 my family moved to Omaha, NE where I immediately enrolled in summer camps with various Clubs. I have enjoyed playing volleyball at my High School, with Nebraska Elite Volleyball Club and River City Juniors Club. I am currently a freshman at Southwestern Iowa Community College in Creston, Iowa. Here I am a starter and play both Middle and OPP positions.
My volleyball career has started later than most. Being a Military child there were not opportunities available to me for the sport of volleyball until my Middle School years. Volleyball has taught me a lot about myself and also helped in adjusting to the major moves I have experienced. I have learned perseverance, adaptability, determination and to have self confidence in myself.
