Personal Statement

I am a 5'9" middle blocker/outside hitter from Lincoln, Nebraska. My freshman year in high school I was on Junior Varsity and moved to Varsity my for my sophomore and junior years. My vertical is 29" and I have a 4.375 GPA. I am the type of player that will give you 100% every day. I am always working hard to improve. I feel everyone no matter the level of skill can always improve. In addition to my coaches & trainer as references, I have received permission from John Cook, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, to use him as a reference. He knows first hand my determination & work ethic as he has seen me at his camps & at my club practices. My ultimate goal is to play volleyball in college. Level of play is not a huge factor for me, but I would prefer a larger size school with a good "college town" atmosphere. As of right now I would also like to stay close to home, but if the opportunity arose I would definitely consider attending a distant school. So far I am undecided on what I would like to major in, but am thinking of something along the lines of fitness and nutrition.
