I am interested in studying art in college. My desire is to serve others in a career in art therapy. I like helping others, especially children. Art is a source of relaxation; I am free to express myself through art.
Volleyball has been part of my life since age 12. I competed in middle school, and participated in area clubs during summers. I began starting high school varsity volleyball as a freshman. It was a thrill to play in the state championship match that year. The sport became a passion in my junior year when my high school team again won the state championship. I am a leader on the floor and in the locker room. I respect authority. As an upper classman, I appreciate younger players and want to help make them better. I am coachable and an avid learner. I began club volleyball this year, playing for Nebraska Juniors 171s. My team's success is more important than personal achievements.
Academically, I work for good grades and devote necessary time to study. I understand the relationship between success in the classroom and success on the volleyball court, not to mention the relationship between classroom success and success in life. I have a healthy competitive spirit.
I am serious minded; my faith life is important to me. I am eager to become part of my future college campus life, and more importantly, part of my future college volleyball team.
