Personal Statement

I believe in myself and that I can accomplish anything I put my mind to. I have had a huge passion for volleyball since I started playing in the seventh grade as a setter on an U16 team. I work hard on and off the court; My scholastics are extremely important to me. English is one of my favorite subjects to study. In 2014 I received the English/Comp Student of the Year. I am looking to study Exercise Science, with a minor in Psychology. As an athlete I know that school comes first. I have learned to juggle long nights in the gym, followed by hours of homework. I am self disciplined, and I will continue to do whatever it takes to make my future a success. My goal in high school is to break the school record for digs, 1000. One of my favorite things is to destroy a persons perspective of me due to my size. Through competitiveness and an overwhelming desire to win, I have proven time and time again that my dedication and talent are the product of hard work and love of the game. My team is my family. There is nothing greater than a team united, and the feeling of us coming together to reach the same goal. If there is anything that makes me different, it would be that I am always smiling, always encouraging. There will be good and bad games; it's how you react that makes you stronger and better. I am excited to see what my future brings. I am ready for an adventure; life is too short to be ordinary!!
