My dream for as long as I can remember has been to play college volleyball and get a degree in Speech and Hearing Science so that i can work with special needs children. I want to be a occupational speech therapist not only to help people, but also because the children that I want to work with can be some of the most inspirational people to be around. I feel like if I can help them along the way then that is enough for me. I have always wanted to play a collegiate sport, but as soon as I started to play volleyball I knew it was the sport for me. Volleyball is what I do to get away from all of the stress that can come around me. I feel like no matter what is going on if I have my team around me and I am on the court, nothing else matters. Playing college volleyball would be a dream come true, but I know that after I graduate I will need to move on and use the education I will obtain through my college experience to try and make a difference in the world. It is my goal to someday work in a place where I can work with special needs children, and make a difference in their lives.
