Volleyball has always been one of the most important parts of my life. I started playing when I was in the 3rd grade and fell in love instantly. I have always strived to be the best on and off the court and will continue to do so throughout my life. This is my third year being a part of a varsity level team, as well as my third year being a varsity level starter. I played Libero my sophomore year of high school and a defensive specialist and outside hitter my junior year. I played defensive specialist for my club teams my freshman, sophomore, and junior year, and I will continue to do so this year. Volleyball has given me some of the best experiences and lessons of my life. It has taught me to have a hard work ethic, and it has taught me how to be a better leader.
The most important moment for me playing volleyball would have to be my sophomore year when my high school team made it to the district final against one of the toughest teams in our state. I played Libero that year being the only underclassman on a team with all seniors. Being a part of that team taught me how to be a leader even when it is not the most comfortable. During the final game of districts, my team worked harder than we had ever worked before. Even though, we didn't come out on top, that game gave me the boost of confidence I needed to pursue a career in volleyball. I proved to myself that I could be as good as I wanted to as long as I put in the work. I fully intend to work and play as hard as possible in your program. I am looking for a program that will be the best fit for me as a dedicated student and hard-working athlete. I am commited to winning and I believe my work ethic and leadership skills as a two sport athlete and two time team captain could make a direct impact on your team.
