Lanie Hurt '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'4 player who has earned many honors, including 1st team All-Conference, 1st team All-District, All-State Honorable Mention, as well as being MVP all four years of my High School career. In my 15's club season, my team went to Nationals and since then I've competed at high level tournaments. I set a personal goal for myself by playing every point of every game and match during my 4 years as a varsity starter. I'm a very smart player. I always bring a positive and focused attitude to practices as well as games. I'm very coachable and will perform to the best of my ability for my teammates and my coaches. In addition to libero, I've played the setter and outside hitter position, which gives me a better view of the court and how the game is played. I'm open to any division of school, but I would like to stay in the Midwest area. I'm looking to be a neonatal nurse, so I'm looking for a program that will help me achieve that goal. In my freshman year, it would be awesome to have the opportunity to play, but I will not be let down if that doesn't happen. I will work hard to be whatever the team needs me to be at that time.
