If I were asked to describe myself in three words, I would choose: tenacious, competitive, and dedicated. In everything I undertake, whether it's in athletics or academics, I commit myself wholeheartedly. I am determined to do whatever it takes to excel. Complacency is not a word in my vocabulary. Both on and off the court, I'm always doing anything and everything I can to ensure that I reach the highest level possible. I thrive when challenges are placed before me and have learned how to cope with adversity and pressure remarkably well. In addition, I encompass the essence of a leader. Being elected by my teammates as a co-captain my sophomore year was without question an incredible honor and an experience that I learned a great deal from. Most importantly, it reinforced my love to be relied on for both support and guidance. Finally, I am exceptionally passionate and driven. My life revolves around the sport of volleyball and I plan on continuing to play it as long as possible. School Interests: In regards to what schools I'm interested in, as of now I'm still uncertain about where I'd like to go. Sometimes it's frustrating because at one moment I tell myself, "Go far away and experience something other than the freezing Minnesota winters..." However, then I feel as though I might want to stay in the Midwest. Overall, at this point in time I think I'd prefer to go to a medium or large size campus that is at least somewhat selective. Nevertheless, as of now, I'm open to considering attending virtually any type of college anywhere. Major: Concerning my major, I'm undecided at this point. However, some of the fields I'm interested in include: art, business, travel, photography, and sports. Athletic Goals: I would be thrilled to be given the opportunity to play as a freshman in college; however, my mentality has always been that I'd love to play with an incredibly competitive team even if it means being the least experienced member. Although this may sound strange, by being the individual with the least developed skills, I'd have the chance to be pushed by the incredible players surrounding me. In addition, I would also be grateful to be given the opportunity to play with my twin sister, Callie. I realize that this may be impossible, however, I feel as though we contribute an exceptionally unique and valuable aspect to a team because of our ability to read one another and connect on the court. Finally, I would be thrilled if I would eventually become a key asset of my team.
