Kelsey Moeller '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kelsey Moeller and I am a junior at Troy High School in Troy, Michigan with a 4.0 GPA.   I am a 5'10" setter and will graduate in June of 2018. I began playing volleyball at age 9. My two older sisters play collegiately at IUP and Seton Hill. It was by watching them play that I developed my passion and IQ for the game as well as my desire to be a setter.   I used to play basketball and my favorite part was being a point guard and giving a great pass to a teammate for an easy basket. Likewise, as a volleyball setter, I love giving my hitters a great set for a kill.

This 2017 club season I will be playing on the MEVBA (Michigan Elite Volleyball Academy) 17 Elite National team.

I desire to play volleyball at the collegiate level and have streamlined my training to reach this goal. In the offseason I train with Courtney DeBolt-Slinko and at the Sports Performance Setting Academies. I am open to schools of various sizes and locations. I am interested in a science major to pursue a career in health care, perhaps nursing or athletic training.   A good collegiate fit for me would need to have a strong science program and a volleyball program with strong leadership and a family feel.
