My name is Erika Ward and I play for Michigan Elite Volleyball Academy in Warren Michigan. For my 2014-2015 club season I played on 16 Red. I desire to play at the collegiate level in my future. This opportunity would be life changing and mean so much to me as I am very passionate for the game. Being only 5’1” and having a vertical of 8’2.5” I play the libero or defensive specialist position. I feel my attributes towards this position include: quick floor movement, capability to read hitters, communication skills, and a tough float serve.

On the court and sideline I like to be energetic, and communicative to encourage my teammates. Unnoticeable actions to some players (for example hustling and shagging) are key to me. I always go above and beyond to work hard in training, lessons, practices or the game.

Leadership is just as important off the court. Maintaining an outstanding GPA is imperative to me.  I feel I am someone who can sustain being a successful student-athlete. I have many ambitions for college including an education that suits me well and can provide me with a bright future and career. I am involved with extracurricular activities at my high school including clubs and The National Honors Society. 
I strive to be a great role model for my family, classmates, and teammates.
