Ever since I was a child I have dreamt of receiving the opportunity to play volleyball at the college level. I have played volleyball for over five years and aspire to continue on to the next level. Over the years I have had many coaches compliment my leadership skills and my versatility as a player. I love the game of volleyball and everything about it, and I believe that my passion is shown on the court every single match.
When I first started out as a volleyball player I was a middle hitter. As a freshman I was on the Junior Varsity volleyball team for Churchill High school and ever since my sophomore year I have played for the varsity team. It was not until this past varsity school season I was moved to an outside hitter. I began to thrive in this position and have loved it ever since. I went on to be named an All-Region player and received the opportunity to play in the MHSAA state final four. It was quite an experience and only made my love for the game stronger. I also received the Winston Churchill Leadership award which was awarded to me for my leadership skills, overall energy while playing the game and athleticism.
In college my goal is to major in physical therapy and make a difference in people's lives. To me there is nothing better than seeing people happy and improving while at the same time using a positive attitude to help them achieve that happiness. That is why I believe physical therapy is the best career path for me.
