I have a strong work ethic and enjoy the challenge of high-level play and training. I am coachable and competitive. I perform well under pressure and have quick reactions and reflexes. One of my strongest qualities is attacking the ball, defending the net, reading the offense, playing back row defense and adjusting position. I strive to always have a good attitude and bring positive energy to the floor.
I am excited to move onto the next level of competitive volleyball and to further my education. Hopefully, my skills and qualities on and off the court can lead me to accomplishing my dreams of being a strong asset to my collegiate team.
BACK GROUND
4 years experience playing Outside Hitter, Middle Hitter and Back Row Defense for school and club volleyball. Attended numerous club and college camps, skill clinics and private lessons.
I am an Outside Hitter and a Defense Specialist on my school and club team. I first played volleyball in my 8th grade year in middle school. I made the varsity team in the 9th grade at my high school. During my 10th grade year for high school I received 1st Team All-Conference Award. While on my club team 10th grade year I moved from 16-team up to 17-team mid-season, due to my hard work and performance. I have one of the highest VPI Scores in the country this year from the National Volleyball Combine. I was ranked nationally in the top 20% for the class of 2017 of those who participated in the National Volleyball Combine. I am also on the Under Armor watch list and have been placed on the AVCA Phenom list. During school season 2016-17 senior year I made All-State, All- Region, All- Conference, All-Tournament and MVP.
I work diligently to constantly improve myself. I have an excellent work ethic on the volleyball court. I am usually the first one at practice and the last one to leave. I enjoy getting constructive criticism because it allows me to improve in areas where I’m weak, which ultimately helps my team. I generally do not have an off season; I voluntarily practice during the summer with one of the elite track programs in the country that is coached by Olympic goal medalist Darnell Hall. This allows me to come into the season in great physical condition which gives me a huge competitive edge over the opposing teams. What I contribute most to the team is my on the court leadership through example. My physical conditioning allows me to play all around without being fatigue. My greatest attributes to the team is my ability to score from the outside or the middle position as well as my ability to defend the net.
As a student, I am a hard worker not only on the court but also with my academics. I currently have an overall 3.7 GPA. I am a member of the National Honor Society and has always received high honors through out high school. My favorite subjects are math and art. I also enjoy drawing and computer design. I am interested in majoring in Computer Science.
