My goals for playing volleyball on a collegiate level is to be part of a team that strives to be the best. I love the bonding, friendship and competition that comes with being part of a team. During college, I plan on studying music education and becoming a music teacher. In addition, I wouldn't mind teaching kids how to play volleyball.
I would be a good candidate for the team because I care about motivating others and playing hard. My school volleyball team achieved the best season in our school's history this past fall. I was selected as the MVP of the Metro Independent School Athletic League and was a member of their first team for the past two years.
Not only do I care about my school work, but I am finishing high school a year earlier than my peers. I also have been playing piano, since I was 4 years old and know how valuable practice time is both on the piano and on the volleyball court. In addition, I am always willing to sing the national anthem before any game. Prior to becoming dedicated to volleyball, I took dance lessons for eight years that kept me diligent, coordinated and light on my toes. I have been playing school and club volleyball for only four years, and I am always willing to learn and willing work hard to achieve and better my skills.
