Rachel Powers '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Rachel Powers. I will graduate in 2012. I am not entirely sure what I want to study academically in college yet. I do know I want to play volleyball. I am 5'9 but have an approach jump of 9'6" and weigh 142 pounds. My high school team has won our sectional/district tournament the last three years, and I am proud to have been a part of that success the last two years. Specifically, as a starter on the varsity team my sophomore year. I have always been a leader on my team and a hard worker. I'm always the first one finished in races and drills because I am super competitive. I'm open to new experiences when it comes to where I go to college. I have traveled extensively around the country with my family and I am not going to limit myself geographically. I look forward to playing volleyball and receiving my college education anywhere in the United States. I am also open to different types of schools. I want to compete at the highest level possible.
