Sami Hillmer '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sami Hillmer. I am a junior from Urbandale, Iowa. My dream is to play at the highest level of competition after high school.   I'm a three year starter and three year letter winner.  My sophomore year for high school I had 440 digs with an average of 3.93 digs per set and 25 assists.  I was also Honorable Mention All-Division.  As a junior I received 2nd Team All Division and 2nd Team All Conference as well as breaking the school record for digs ((456) Set by Dzenita Bahtic in 2011).  I rolled in the most digs in the state of Iowa with 698 and a 6.58 digs per set average, as well as 71 assists.  I am so excited to see where God takes me in the future!  I am a leader on and off the court and strive to be the best person/player that I am capable of.  I make goals for myself on sticky notes and hang them on my door for me to see every day.  I let my failures be my motivation to keep going.  My overall goal is to play not only for myself, but for the team and girls I am with and be proud to call myself a player for my school.
