2011-12 HighlightsPersonal Statement
First of all, I want to be happy and positive about anything in life that comes my way, I have always been a positive person and I believe no matter what life deals you, there is a silver lining in there somewhere. Some days it is harder to find than others. A good attitude is a must in the classroom and on the court. I never give up, even when we are losing--you just never know.... I want to get a good education playing the game I love. If these two things happen for me the rest will fall into place. Since I was 10 years old I have been playing volleyball. Of course, I played other sports but volleyball quickly became my favorite. So I decided to study hard, get good grades and focus on one sport --volleyball. I played school ball and then right into club ball and then back to school ball etc. Who knew you could play volleyball year round! Where will I be in 5 years from now? Honestly, I am not quite sure. I think I will be teaching kids how to write, do math and read. I will also be teaching them to love learning. Hopefully, I will be making a little money too!

- For the last five years I have spent every summer focused on volleyball camps. I barely had anytime to do anything else. I loved it. I attended Drake, ISU, Central College, CIS camps, the list goes on and on and varied from summer to summer. For the last three years my coach has offered mandatory morning workouts all summer long, getting up at 6:30 a.m. every morning....so yea--this is my life! :)
