Ellen Scott '10 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'11" senior outside hitter from Adel, Iowa and I have been playing volleyball for six year (club and school). I realize I have started this recruiting process late, but I'm eager to compete at a collegiate level. I have always loved the game of volleyball and officially decided these past couple years that I wanted to continue to play volleyball competitively in college. I improved a significant amount compared to my level of play junior season. I'm an all-around athlete, but my leadership and encouragement of others truly shines through in volleyball. I have learned to motivate myself and am always striving to do more and become a better volleyball player and teammate. Our team was very young this past season and that factor played a huge role in my maturity as an athlete now. I would love to be part of a competitive team, whether it is encouraging from the bench or starting on the court. I'm very competitive but I also love to have a good time. You would rarely see me without a smile on or laughing about something with a peer. I have a lot to offer and refuse to give up. If the scholarships/financial aid is significant, I would be very open to be just about anywhere geographically. I am also undecided in what I would like to major in.
