Personal Statement
My Name is Irene Truchado. I am from Madrid, Spain and I’ll be graduating by June 2015. I've been playing volleyball for seven years and I see myself in many more years doing so. I’m a 5'10" Outside Hitter, but I’ve also played as a libero on numerous occasions and I think I can adapt to different positions and challenges.
I have also competed in tennis and I consider myself a very coachable athlete, since I’ve have been trained and taught by many different coaches in my life. I am a determined, ambitious and hardworking person, both inside and outside the track and I work hard to achieve my goals. I’ve also been captain of my team some years so I know teamwork.
My dream is to play volleyball in an American college with both a good team and a good academic level: I feel that playing on a good team brings balance to my life and I love the sport immensely. I’m open to attend different types of schools, in any region or league willing to give me the opportunity to play in a competitive team: I’m just looking for a team of hardworking people with ambitious goals and expectations, -not a particular division.
