Personal Statement
I currently attend Broward College here at USIL (Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola). I am a Peruvian athlete, playing for Peru's volleyball national team since I was 14 (2010). I have participated in some important international championships such as:
- XVII Juegos Deportivos Bolivarianos (2013) - gold medal
- South American Championship under 16 (2011) – second place
- South American Championship U18 (2012) – gold medal
- Panamerican Cup U18 (2013)
- Panamerican Cup U20 (2013)
- Girls U20 World Championship (2013)
- Girls U18 World Championship (2013) – fourth place
I am very interested on being an athlete student during my university period. I have been an very good student during the school period also, which is remarkable considering the time I spend at international preparation and tournaments.In Peru’s system my final average grade is 17/20. I have participated in my school’s High School Science Fair and also in social service activities, which include help in painting houses of developing communities.
I am a committed, responsible player, who likes to give the best in every workout, and see the results of my effort in each game. I'm a player who strives for both athletic and academic goals, which are at this time study in a well-known U.S. college and play for its team. Reach the national team, and get those medals and important places in international competitions, is the result of my hard work and effort I put every day.
