Natalie Allen '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'10" senior middle hitter/blocker from Elkhart, IN. I have played on my school's volleyball team for three years. It has been a very exciting senior season! We won our school's 4th Class 1A Sectional win, and our school's 1st ever Class 1A Regional win! It was my honor to receive the 2010 Most Outstanding Offensive Player award. My junior year was my first year on varsity capturing the teams Most Improved Player award and helped my team win a Class 1A Sectional Title! I have played club for two years and enjoyed working with other athletes and coaches, being challenged to push harder, and trying different strategies and techniques. I participated in club volleyball with Shankyou the first year and a club/travel team for Top Gun this past year. My greatest strength is that I am very coachable and work hard at perfecting my game. Although I have a busy volleyball and basketball schedule along with my musical interests and volunteerism, I am proud to have accomplished a 3.9 GPA ranking 8th in my class. Although I started playing volleyball later, I still want to pursue college athletics as a passion and a way that might help with my family's financial need to pay for college. I am open to different division levels and size of school. I am undecided about my major, but I am interested in sciences. Location is still an open factor in my college decision process. I have had the privilege of attending a small private, christian school and though I am interested in a Christian learning environment, it is not necessary to my final decision.
