My collegiate goals and aspirations is to continue to play the most amazing game on the planet!
I have played several sports and my love for volleyball cannot be topped. You can tell this in my smile, my laughter and yells after a great play by myself or any of my teammates. I might be deceiving at first, because I look small, but I can jump and the speed of the ball to the floor is very quick. I am agile and fast as well, chasing down poor passes is a strength although I like to use my energies hitting the ball with power. Academically, I am taking 4 weighted classes this year (Jr yr) and I have a 3.93/4 unweighted GPA. I strive to do my very best in everything I do. I have been recognized as a leader at my school as a member of a select group of athletes to participate in the Indiana High School Athletic Association's Leadership Conference. I am a leader of the Champions Together team at my school that promotes unifying special needs student athletes with other student athletes to form unified teams to compete in our area. We are currently fundraising to buy uniforms and equipment for our school's Unified Track Team. I am so proud to help others achieve successes in sports, such as I have.
I have lived in 4 locations, so adapting to change is something that I am accustomed to, so I believe attending college will be easy for me to transition into that part of my life as I know how to create new friends and automatically playing volleyball will result in new friends right away. I plan to explore engineering and I know that will take dedication and commitment, which is two of my most visible characteristics along with my booming smile and red hair!!! I am a negotiator and problem solver. I've been known to settle disputes or arguments between players where a true misunderstanding led to not playing as a team. I know I cant win any match by myself, so the team needs to trust one another and work together in unison. I am my team's "bonder" and spirit leader as I emotionally prepare our team for competition.
