Hannah Zerwas '16 Recruiting Profile

I guess you could say that volleyball found me….literally.  With my height at 6’2”, our Varsity volleyball coach spotted me in a crowd while I was in middle school and encouraged me to try out for the team.  Since I was a proven athlete in other sports, volleyball seemed to be a natural fit for me, and I have never looked back.  My passion and dedication to the sport grows each year.  An exciting step in my athletic career was earning a spot on the top Junior Olympic Club volleyball team (out of six teams) the very first time I tried out. Another honor came during my 2014 High School season when our team placed 2nd at the State Championships and I was named 'Player of the Game' by the Chicago Tribune.  I am certain it is my determination to excel that has helped me in achieving my athletic as well as academic goals.

Being the on Honor Roll, I value the educational aspect of the student-athlete experience and am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me.  I believe I have the talent, character and commitment to be a leader at the next level.  I am also confident that I have the skills that can immediately contribute to the success of your program!
