My name is Cassidy Woods from Genesee, Idaho. I started playing club volleyball at age 10. My main position has been outside hitter, but I play almost every position on the court successfully. I started playing outside hitter on varsity as a freshman. My team made it to state as a freshman and got second. In my sophomore year, we rallied back from a loss to a local rival and won the state title by winning 4 matches in one day! I was honored with an North Idaho Player of the Year nomination and my team won Team of the Year in Northern Idaho for several divisions. As a junior, we got second in the state. As a senior year and was chosen as a team captain. At 5'6", I am focusing on my passing and serving for my goal of college ball since God did not grace me with the tallest parents!
While my passion is volleyball, I also love music. I have taught myself how to play piano, guitar and play several instruments in band. I have taken singing lessons since age 12 and enjoy performing at Jazz Festivals, school events and even sung the National Anthem at state and local sporting events. For my senior project, I am recording a vocal performance CD so I can capture my work in one collection where I will accompany myself on guitar and piano.
One of my goals is to play volleyball in college. I know that my versatility and dedication as a player will help me to be an asset to my team.
