Anyssa Matheson '12 Recruiting Profile

HI, my name is Anyssa Matheson. I am a current senior at Coeur d'Alene High School, in Northern Idaho. I am a 5'10'' outside hitter. I weigh 150 lbs and have an approach jump of 9'8''. I have played volleyball consistently for seven years along with basketball and track. I consider myslef to be a very well rounded athlete but I am strongest and have the most passion for volleyball. I have traveled extensively to many universities for summer camps, including Duke University, Gonzaga Unviersity, Boise State University, University of Washington, University of Idaho, and Eastern University as well as many other excellent schools. These camps provided me the opportunity to learn various amounts of techniques and experience different levels of play. I have also competed in many tournaments giving me a vast amount of experience. These opportunities have made me a strong, well rounded player. My one and only desire is to play college level volleyball. I am open to all divisions, regions, and types of schools. I am a hard working athlete, a motivator, and a friendly, outgoing person. My charateristics make it easy for me to make friends and be a team player. I would be a positive attribute to a team as I have been a leader in kills and concistently played all the way around with great success. I have been very fortunate and blessed to have a family that is financially stable and are willing to provide me with the opportunity to attend college without the need for a scholarship. I am very aware of the importance of a college education. I have always been able to balance school, sports, pratice, and extracurricular activites while maintaining a good GPA. My desired major is physical therapy which i believe goes hand in hand with college athletics. Thank you for your time and consideration.
