I started playing club volleyball when I was 13, and ever since then I've been training as a setter. I've got a lot of experience being on the court. Last club season when I played on James 16-2 team, we were seated 127 in Big South. Throughout the weekend we finished 17th, winning the silver bracket. Our team created so many bonds that weekend that every tournament we had after that we yearned for greatness. Being on the court is where I belong, I know I want to continue playing volleyball for the rest of my life. I've watched many college volleyball games, and have always pictured myself in their positions. I don't want my career in volleyball to end after high school or club; I want to take it to the next level. What do I love about setting? I love being in control of the game. One of my strongest attributes as a player is that I am coachable. Currently this season, my goal is to run a faster tempo offense and continue to improve my confidence in setting. Some of the feedback I have received from my coaches is that I am a dependable teammate, who is always trying to improve my leadership abilities both on and off court. This year, my high school volleyball team made it to the final eight. I love my girls and was proud of what we accomplished. I'm looking forward to next year and making it even farther. I'm ready to take my volleyball to the next level and play in college. I'd love to find a school where I can contribute as a player, excel as a student, and find a team that feels like a family.
