I was honored to be named to the 2012 AVCA Phenom list. My high school team - Harrison High School - competed in the 6A State Finals in both my Freshman and Sophomore years. As a Sophomore I was named First Team All State, Team MVP, and Team Captain. As a Freshman I was named Second Team All State and Team Offensive MVP. My A5 15-1 team finished 18th in the Open Division of the 2012 USAV Jr. National Championships. I was Team Captain, leader in Kills, 6 rotation player, and 2nd in digs on the team. I currently have a 4.167 GPA.
My goal in volleyball is going to modeled after the career of a great collegiate volleyball player that I watched play in the National Semi Finals and Finals this past season - Katherine Fischer from Oregon. As a 5'10" OH, 6 rotation player she hit .375 in the National Final against Texas. Her hustle and competiveness are exactly how I play. Coach Moore commented after the season about Katherine " you can't ask for anything more" about her play. He also said " she worked her butt off for four years and made us a better team". If I can model her and have my collegiate coach say that about me after my college career is over I will know I have been successful.
