Hi, my name is Karleebeth Perkins and I am an all around player, but currently I am being used as a middle hitter on my high school team. I am 5'9" and weigh about 180 lbs. I am a Caucasian teenager hoping to explore questions about space and astronomy. I also have a love for math and hope to pursue it in more depth. Finally, I plan to minor in art - drawing and illustrations. I have played every sport my school has to offer for girls; this includes volleyball, basketball, tennis, and softball, but out of all of those my heart and interest was captured by volleyball. Even when I was young and still in 7th grade I would ask the coach if it was okay for me to stay and watch and help out with the varsity practice, and they gladly let me come. I quickly learned to serve over-hand, picked up transitioning to my position easily, and while my hands are not the best I can still set very well. I have been a starter ever since I was old enough to be on varsity, and while I'm very quiet at times, when the game starts I can't help but cheer about everything. I am often the leader in class projects and am able to transfer those skills to the court. I am a very good listener, always try my hardest, and consider myself to be very coachable. Now then, I do not have a dream school, or a dream location. My parents would love for me to be able to stay in Florida because of the Bright Future Scholarship but also to come see some of my games. I, on the other hand, do not mind moving away. My goal as a volleyball player is to become the greatest asset to my team, and the best I can be. I would love to become someone my school, family, and friends, could always be proud of. I am a very hard worker, always willing to learn new things, and always have a determined mind to see that I try my best at everything.
I know that if I truly put my heart and mind into this, that I will be able to accomplish all of these goals.
