Personal Statement

My name is Kelsey Cartwright and I am an Outside Hitter and Defensive Specialist starting on my Freshmen Team.  I will graduate high school in the year 2020, and my dream is to continue playing volleyball at the collegiate level.


I have played volleyball for 2 years in middle school, my Freshmen year in High School, and 4 years of Club Volleyball, two of these years on full travel teams.  I have competed in the AAU National Volleyball Finals in 2016 in Indianapolis Indiana, and will complete in June, 2017, in Orlando Florida.  I bring to these teams dedication, a strong work ethic, and the desire to grow with the team and win championships.


I am looking for a University that balances my intended field of study, nursing, with my court play.  Ideally I'd like to make an immediate impact on a team.  Financial assistance is very important to my family in my college selection.
