The reason I decided to get into athletics my freshman year of high school was to get out of my own little shell and gain some confidence when being around other people. Through athletics, I have been able to work on my leadership skills and push myself to become a more positive and extroverted person. The major goals I have in college and college volleyball are similar to my goals when I was starting out volleyball: to become a better overall person on and off the court and to connect with my team as a family. My determination and dedication to the program is something that I have prided my self on for the past 4 years and something that I will bring to the next level. I understand that there is immense pressure on a player coming into a college level program and with the understanding of that pressure, I will be pushing myself harder to acclimate and assimilate into the system that the college and the team have created which made them successful. I have been blessed to have several good coaches these past years who focused on me both on and off the court and the relationship that I have with my coaches in the past are what I am hoping to have in the future.
