I have played volleyball since the 7th grade. I've always had a heart for sports and have always wanted to play collegiately. Once I started volleyball there was no taking me out of it. I would endure sickness just to practice and still do that now.
I am a setter with a consistent jump attack serve, but am fluent with other serves. I have filled in for opposite hitter, but feel I am best at setting. I am a leader on my teams and I am normally called the encourager. I always try to get my teammates to smile and perk up. I am a coachable player and strive to improve my game and work hard at my mistakes.
At school I strive for good grades and enjoy a challenge. I help coach at my school and club team for the littler girls. I am usually the one looked at for help in a time of confusion on the court.
I'm looking for a college where I can push myself in sports and academically. Competition is huge in my life and I definitely am looking for a challenge. I hope to find a college where the coaches will critique me on things that I need fixed. I can only become better if one shows me how. I understand this is a life time chance and hope I will succeed. In the end I hope to be a great role model and make my parents proud.
