Ashley Boulier '12 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Ashley Boulier and I began playing volleyball in the 5^th grade. I immediately fell in love with the entire experience. Not just the hard hits or the quick dinks, but the beauty of the game. My High School and Club Coaches says that I am like the glue and/or a mother figure that keeps the team together through thick and thin. This to me is interesting; because I feel like I am a student of the game and am humbled to know that my coach’s feel this way about me.

 I am currently a senior holding a 4.1 weighted GPA (Top 15% of my class) and have been on the varsity squad for four years (starter for all 4 years). The past three years, I have been co-captain. I consider myself a team player and have shown that I have the qualities of a good leader. One of those is, knowing when to lead and when to let others lead. I am looking for a college, which can help develop my talents both on the court and in the classroom. For my High School career ,I have played the entire rotation during 98% of the matches I have played in.

 It is my dream and passion to play volleyball at the college level. I am undecided at this time on my major, but I know I would like to continue with my love for volleyball after college as either a coach or official. I am community minded and plan on having 400 hours of community service when I graduate High School. No matter where I play volleyball at, I know that I will be an ambassador for the game and the college I attend. I feel that I have the tireless work ethic that would fit into any program, that I am lucky enough to be part of.
