When it comes to things that I am passionate about the first things that come to my mind are school and volleyball. I absolutely love the sport of volleyball and have been playing it for over 7 years. I have never lost any passion for the sport it just gets stronger. My experiences in volleyball have not just taught me how to be a better player, but a better person on and off the court. Volleyball has taught me about leadership, ambition, trust, and of course mental toughness. Volleyball doesn't just change me mentally, but physically too. With the volleyball specific trainers I work with I get the opportunity to push myself to the limit, which is something I absolutely love about the sport. When it comes to on the court I am silent leader, I am the player that you go to when your having a bad game to make you smile, and to help with rotations. I also am great at firing my team up with as much energy as I can give. I have played almost every single position in volleyball, and have a special respect for each one. However, I mainly play outside and right side and absolutely love them. The greatest feeling to me with the sport is when you get an amazing kill and the stands and your teammates get excited and just fill the gym with a huge amount of energy. Last year our club team was very successful, we made it the top division in our age group for our region. We also played in and were competitive in several of the national qualifiers throughout our season.
As a student I love school and push myself just as hard in academics as I do with my sport. I have a big passion for science. I would love to pursue a career in the medical, environmental sciences, or education fields. I have been very successful in my academic career, my weighted GPA in high school is 4.15. I have received an academic letter in high school as well as several leadership awards. I served as a peer leader for incoming 6th graders in middle school and I was also a peer mentor for kids with special needs.
When it comes to colleges I want a school environment with an amazing amount of energy that I can continue my passion for the game. I am also looking for the correct fit for my academic aspirations as well as the social experience.
