My personal goal is to be accepted at a Division 1 university or college, and play college volleyball while obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree.
On the court I have strong net skills with blocking and attacking being my strong points. I believe that my agility, height, and ability to always be aware of the play make me a good candidate for any Division 1 team.
I am self-disciplined, organized and punctual - all skills which I have honed while playing high-school and club volleyball, as well as previously competing on the high-school swim team and at equestrian jumping competitions. Last year as a freshman, I was voted the most improved player as a Varsity middle blocker and this year I received the Coaches Award.
I have learned how to balance the requirements of school with sports, maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
I believe I am a team player as well as a leader and positive role model. This year I have been recommended by my teachers to participate in leading freshman students in our school's community service "Link Crew" program.
Coming from a sports orientated family - my grandfather was a professional NHL player - I know firsthand the dedication and self-discipline needed to compete at the college level.
