Hello, I'm Mac. Though I live in the Southwest, my goal is to attend 4 years of college in the Northeast. I am well traveled, having been to Australia, Europe, US Virgin Islands, and all over the U.S. I stand 6'0" and play Middle Blocker for the past 4 years. My Varsity team went to States both years I've played Varsity, and I received AIA's Honorable Mention for All-State this year. I have been Captain of my High Altitude Volleyball club team, and will achieve my 10' jump height goal this year. I attend Northland Preparatory Academy in Flagstaff and am well prepared for college. I have received many academic awards, some of which are; Honors with Distinction, High Honors, Excellence in Citizenship, Mixing with the Muse, Outstanding Social Studies Student, Excellence in Spanish, and twice achieved Worlds in Odyssey of the Mind competition 2014 and 2015. I'm a member of National Honor Society, and National Society of High School Scholars. Though volleyball is my main passion, I have a black belt in martial arts and consider figure skating my relaxation sport. My first international volleyball experience came this summer when I played for the USA Team in the United World Games 2015 in Austria, placing 4th out of 25, on a 6-person team. I have strong leadership skills, manage people well, stay committed to my goals, am an excellent team player, remain highly coachable, and plan to continue my travel experiences throughout my college years to keep my mind and heart open for service opportunities. I am passionate about education and volleyball. Thank you for reading about me!
