Volleyball first came into my life when I was 10 years old.  Looking back on my years of playing the sport, I frequently reflect on the saying every athlete hears: there is no "I" in team.  I've always found myself drawn to this quote because along with hearing it, I have experienced it throughout my time playing.  I have learned that the most rewarding and honorable success comes through the hard work of a team as one unit.  I am a leader by nature, and find this beneficial when hitting low points in a game or season.  I am always ready to uplift my team and keep up morale of fellow players.  Although it can be difficult at times, I make it necessary to always stay positive in a game.  When one point is missed I analyze my mistake and prepare for the next hit to come.  I am a goal chaser; I am a driven leader, and most importantly, a dedicated athlete.
