Running has always been a passion of mine. Whether it was on a soccer field, basketball court, or track, running was something I had continually enjoyed. This is why I decided to participate in cross country and track my freshman year of high school. Looking back, I believe that is the best decision I have ever made. My involvement in these sports has taught me so much and made me who I am. I have learned to push myself and overcome challenges.
As a student, I am just as dedicated and hardworking as I am in athletics. My education is very important to me. I have a 4.0 GPA and am in the top 1% of my class. I also participate in HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America), Blue Crew (freshmen orientation), and National Honor Society. Each week, I spend time volunteering at a local hospital.
Throughout high school, and especially over the last year, I have worked hard to improve my sprinting and jumping ability in track and field. I have seen results from this commitment, significantly improving my performances in the 200m, 400m, and long jump this past season. My dream is to continue track in college. I believe that I am very coachable and strive to form good relationships with my coaches and teammates. I am an extremely determined and hardworking student athlete, and I set high goals for myself. I am excited to continue to work toward my goals as a collegiate track and field athlete.
