My main goal as a collegiate athlete is to maintain a well-rounded personality and to discover my full potential as a sprinter. With the high school track season being so short, I am excited to see my performance improve with year-round collegiate training and conditioning. I would be an asset to the team because of my versatility as both an athlete and a person. I am able to run in open events, such as the 100 and the 200, and also have experience on relay teams, running anything from lead legs to anchors. Off the track, I am an academically driven student, currently in the top 1% of my class, as well as a member of the National Honors Society and recipient of academic high honors all three years of my high school career. Furthermore, I am also a full IB diploma student. A predominant aspect to my character is my self-motivation and leadership qualities. Again, both on and off the track, these qualities are evident. At school, I am the founder and president of Human[Kind], a club based on improving the social interaction amongst students and staff, as well as maintaining leadership roles in clubs such as APPP, Photography Club, and FBLA. On the track, I am always looking to better both my team and myself, to push us further in practice and at meets. Lastly, I would say one of my most valuable qualities as an athlete is my ability to perform under high pressure situations. Whether it be starting the state champion 4x200 relay team off, or finishing the anchor leg of the 4x100 in the state finals, I come to every meet with a clear head and a desire to win. My versatility as an student-athlete is what separates me from other recruits.
