Athletics have always been a part of my life, they have helped shape me into the person that I am today and have prepared me for a successful future. I have learned time management, a strong work ethic and the importance of individual and team. I have learned the value of hard work by running at the State Track and Field Tournament this year after missing the opportunity last year. It was very important to me to make it to State in 2015. I worked very hard in the off season to achieve my goal. I am planning a return trip to State in our upcoming season. Athletics has taught me how to be a leader, not only vocally but by example. I have learned the importance of respecting everyone, regardless of personal opinions. Lastly, athletics has taken a lot of hard work and determination, important pieces that will help me succeed in the future.
