My name is Madison Lanford and I am a senior at Skyview High School in Vancouver, Washington. Through my high school athletic career, I have played Varsity Soccer all four years and will have run on the Varsity Track team all four years, as well. I have been a scholar athlete each of my Varsity Track seasons and have been awarded Most Valuable Athlete by my team, sophomore and junior years.
Since freshman year, when I decided to join the track team, track has been my passion. At the time, I played many other sports and put them to the side, to pursue my dreams of running track in college. I know the life of a college athlete is not easy, but that's the life for me.
I am very coachable and a great team player. Since I can run many different sprints, I work my hardest, no matter what race I am training for or competing in. My coaches and teammates can always count on me to be a top competitor and leader.
I have an accumulative GPA of 3.47 that will be increasing this year! I strive to do well in the classroom and manage my time wisely, with the busy schedule I have. By the end of college, I hope to have a degree that will direct me to the field I am interested in and set me on the right path to my future. I am open to all options and opportunities, and want to find the right college for me.
