I am a hard worker and great teammate. I started running track in my freshman year. I am in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program for academics, because I know how important it is to be a well rounded individual. I love challenges. My coaches feel I have great athletic ability and have told me I can be successful in a lot of events. I started running sprints as a freshman (100, 200) and was a member of the 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams. I was named Women's track and field Outstanding Freshman. As a sophomore, I ran the 100, 200 and was a member of the 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams. My 4x400 relay team won a state championship, 4x200 relay team took 2nd in state and my 4x100 relay took 7th in state. As a junior, I ran the 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles, 100, 200, 400, participated in high jump and was a member of the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams. I won the 4A state championship in the 100 hurdles and set a 4a state meet record with a time of 14.10. In addition, I placed 3rd in state in the 300 hurdles and anchored the 4x400 relay team that placed 3rd in state. I set two high school records (100 hurdles and 300 hurdles) this season. I am a member of the Seatown Express Track Club. I participated in the USATF Junior Nationals and Junior Olympics. I placed 3rd (Bronze Medal) in the Junior Olympics Women's 17-18 100 hurdles with a time of 14.06(PR). In addition, I placed 43rd overall in the Open 200 with a time of 25.25(PR). I am driven to be the best student-athlete I can be and will work hard to prepare for my senior year.
