My full name is Nadine Grace Hyde, I am 5’8”, 150 pounds, and my personal record in Discus is 126.88'. I graduated with honors from Tahoma Senior High and was a 4 year varsity discus thrower. 2011 I placed 8th at the 4A State Completion in discus. After high school my goal is to pursue a Bachelors of Science Degree in Marine or Environmental Science and then apply for the United States Coast Guard Officer Candidate School. I hope to do research on an Ice Breaker or somewhere up in Alaska. It is exciting to think that one day I will be serving my country and have a job that I’ll truly love. My expectations for a college are not based on location or type of school but rather the opportunity to throw for their team while earning my degree. I would also like to throw Hammer and the Weight. While my school doesn’t offer Hammer or an indoor season, I tried the hammer last summer at Iron Wood; a training camp in Spokane, the coach said I was a natural and had potential. I’ve been told that I am very coachable.
