Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Nicole Charlton and I am an avid track and cross country runner. I've been on my high school's varsity track team since my freshman year and last year was my first year on the cross country team. I fell in love with both sports as soon as practice started. With only one year of experience I was still able to make it to the Washington State 4A State Championship meet on November 3rd, 2012. Before I started running I played Premier level soccer at one of the highest levels in Washington State. I played for Washington Premier Football Club when we traveled to Iowa and got 2nd place at US Nationals. To this day I still love soccer but not as much as running. I'm a hard worker and I liked to be challenged which is one of the reasons why I want to run in college. I know that which ever school I go to, they will push me to be the best that I can be. I aspire to continue working with athletes for the rest of my life by helping them when they get injured. I want to study in the field of sports medicine and physical therapy so I can use my knowledge of running and other sports to help athletes in training.
