Personal Statement

I'm 5'3" senior and running is my passion. I love the excitement and feeling of accomplishment I get from reaching my goals in both running and life. My current goal for track is to get 5:20 on my mile, to break 19 minutes for cross country and to win state by the time I'm a senior. I partially tore my MCL in the summer before my junior year but got back down in times in all of my races once the Cross Country and Track seasons got started. My knee is one-hundred percent better. I want to major in engineering and minor in business. I want to be a NASCAR engineer, which is something I absolutely love as well. I am open to all different kinds of schools and locations. But I do want a school and running program that is going to push me to become the best that I can be. I prefer the heat though. I have been running since I was 7 starting with Dixie Dashers Youth Track Club and now am a proud SCHS athlete and student. I am looking forward to college and learning more.
