My name is Ivana Escalona, I am a thrower and I love it. I was playing rugby till I was kicked in the head which caused me to get a concussion which ended my rugby career. One of my friends was on track and he said that I should come throw. I went to the first say of practice and saw I was actually quite good. This is my first year of track.I have found myself working harder and preparing myself mentally by throwing.
My parents are the most dedicated, supporting parents. they are always supporting me in all of my sporting events and will work hard for me to be able to do what I love. I have overcame many obstacles in my life. physically, emotionally and mentally. I had my 17 yr old sister pass away from cancer and my boyfriend pass away from suicide. With these hardships in my life it has taught me in my life to work harder and to live everyday to the fullest. And be more appreciated and grateful for everything and everyone I surround myself with.
I want to major in public relations. I am working harder on my grades and will be better while I am attending college.
You would want me on your team because, I am extremely dedicated, once I put my mind to something I will work my hardest till I reach that goal. I am a team player, I always want to show my best and do my best, I am getting better every single day.
I hope to hear from you soon,
thank you
