Currently my goals for college are to obtain a PhD in Mathematics and employment as a teacher at the college or university level. I would also like to obtain a minor, or possibly double major, in Art - Sculpture emphasis. I am an accomplished welder currently working toward my state certification through the local tech college, but would also like to explore welding in a more artistic direction. I have a wide variety of interests and am not afraid of new experiences or new challenges. As a competitive swimmer since the age of 9, that is how I ended up becoming a thrower - it looked interesting and I wanted to try something new. I love throwing and am so excited about the sport that I am constantly trying to recruit others to throw with me, coaching them in my spare time, and showing them how much fun throwing can be. I know I have not reached my full potential as a thrower; I have goals for placing at the conference and national levels and know I could excel at the college level with a good throws coach. I am highly coachable and I am driven to succeed and work hard at everything I do, whether academically, athletically or in my personal interests.
