Kristen Gipson '16 Recruiting Profile

I have always dreamed of going to college and playing a sport, but I never knew what sport I would want to play. I started throwing in track when I was in seventh grade. To me, throwing shot put isn't just a sport its a passion. I push myself to get better every time I step into the ring. I'm always ready to compete with heart and give it everything I got. In college, I hope to gain a higher education as well as have the chance to step up and make myself a better athlete. I know it takes hard work; as a lot of things in life do, and I'm ready to put forth that effort. Shot put has helped me realized that I need to work hard at everything I do because it can open many doors and new experiences for me. I never knew what you do in the classroom effects so many things, so I've putting in a lot of work to get my grades  up and to also keep them up. I stand out from others because I'm always trying my best and giving whatever I'm working for everything I've got. Thank you very much, Kristen Gipson
